photoshoot in the ADK's

long story short, Ron hooked Chris and I up on a photoshoot for Ecco hiking shoes in the Adirondack Mountains. we were the "male hikers/guides"...fun.

left my place at 5 am to get to Ron's and be on the road by 5:30.

Ron took over Brian's position in the back seat.

7 hours later we were in the woods/on set

Michelle was the "female hiker". out of respect, we refrained from vulgarity for about the first 3 minutes.

the first day we shot at Cobble Hill which is just outside Lake Placid

towards the top it opened up to a steep rock face with a great view

suddenly Ron stepped in a crevice!

then a crevace!

if you enlarge it you can see the ski jumps from the Olympics

Chris would do whatever it took to get the shot

day one, done

our newlywed suite in the Northwood, "Where Adirondack memories are made"

meeting up before dinner at Stumpo's. Placid's premiere Italian dining experience.

breakfast was at 5am in the lobby. we wanted to be on the road by 5:30 and in the woods by 6 for a full day in the woods.

Ron went to work with the safety pins to make sure the boots could be seen.

on the trail

Ron became obsessed with finding the perfect cuff

Round Pond (some of my faithful readers might recognize this as the place where we slept in the rain about a month ago)

Scott is filming Chris's monologue. "Today is very majestic".

starting the climb to the peak

it was great because we were basically told to step, run, stand, stomp in any mud we came across

every few minutes I was asked how much further it was to the top. I just kept rattling off fractions. "we're 3/8 of 1/2 way to the half way point"

a special moment

not posed at all

6/8 of almost to the top!

Ron Pong reporting live from the peak

on the left you can see the rock slides on Mt. Dix that we climbed last time we were up here. no snow on the peak today.

Diddy carried the buffet.

John has 2girls1cup bookmarked.

this was the mudhole I got to run through 57 times.

"missed your mark by a mile, do it again"

notice Ron and Michelle's smiles in the background. A bronx cheer really carries on a mountain top.

Diddy was well prepared for blustery weather.

headed back down

the Crew

on the way out we spotted something moving in some low bushes. be patient, at about 17 seconds in you'll see it...

reviewing some shots the next morning

thanks to Ron for hooking it up and all the crew, Ecco shoes, fully backed.
