my day in the big city

good morning

en route to NYC for a day of skating, pizza and friends

dropped the car in Brooklyn and pushed over the Williamsburg Bridge into Manhattan. no real game plan. ended up covering ALOT of ground. (more on that later). didn't wanna deal with camera while skating so I went back over the bridge after dark to pick it up and get my cruiser board which made navigating the city streets a lot easier.

there's always time to Max it out!

so this would be my 3rd time crossing the bridge

Luke tipped me off to a ramp "under the bridge". unfortunately "under the bridge" encompasses about 4 miles. I racked up some serious mileage earlier in the day trying to find it. finally got legit directions and got to skate it for about an hour before it got dark. now that I was strapped with my camera I wanted to document it. I'd be lying if I said I was psyched about going back to East River Park after the sun was down. I kept the shots to a minimum and got back into a more populated area ASAP.

just can't beat the feeling

I always look for natural occurring 3's

4th and final time crossing the bridge back to Brooklyn

after 10 hours in the city it was time to make the call. floor, sofa or bed. I chose bed.

my directions were basically useless after step 2

snooze control was set

GPS schmeePS. just text Nigro.

I retraced my route to figure out exactly how far I skated

Brian brought the dogs up for a visit. Mazzy knows where the biscuits are kept.

Rye and Hawkeye can go for hours

met up with the dudes at the new Penn Skate (aka the whacky shack.) lines were found and a good session was had.
