sessions!/mousetrap races/park hunting/rain/new spots

new kicker! not to toot my own horn but I am getting really good at self timer self portraits. this was first try! hopefully someday it will be on something over 8 inches though...

the physical challenge was to Max it!

judges take note, hands behind the back increases the difficulty

near catastrophe

flea market 3 blocks from my place. too bad it sucked.

spring has sprung

"What are you painting?", "My feelings", "Keep your chin up, you can't feel like shit forever."

1st annual west philly mousetrap race

the first one set a tough mark to beat

droppin' the quarter to start the engine

so stoked bike riding season is back

I always thought this spot would be fun to mess around at

met Dave in north philly to scope out a park we'd been tracking the progress of. once again, the weather looked threatening

foiled again!

actually it hadn't rained where the park was but it was still on lock down

we contemplated barging it but heard they were giving out tickets. didn't help that there were 5 little league games going on all around us

damn...to say it was tempting would be an understatement

they even had a Pank's playland

snake run with parking block lips...I'm in there.

stoked

it was great to get really hyped on skating after seeing that park and then figuring we could at least roll around at a little prefab one only to have our hopes dashed by mother nature yet again.

rain/night shots/Gildeon Works show/Levittown bowl

Dave and I raced the rain the whole way to Levittown to check out the new bowl...we lost.

I miss skating with this dude

en route to Stacey's show

lovely night for a ride

Mikele's band was up first. all these pics kinda suck. I feel my vantage point and F-stop selection were both sub par all night

Gildeon Works was up next

the Stuff trilogy

2nd attempt at Levittown was a go

I must admit I had low expectations for this bowl but it was pretty fun. way smooth.

the park is right by the Atlantic Ocean

it's easy to complain about prefab parks. this one was ok. I still found things to complain about, I always do.

sad to say that this is the biggest ramp I've skated in years.

in my head this was a much artier shot

I liked this park just enough that if someone else drives me, I might actually go again.
